Welcome to the web site for the
Tidewater Chapter of the National Naval Officers Association.
We are an active and dynamic chapter. Our members are examples of success within the sea services as well as within the community.
TIDEWATER NNOA VISION STATEMENT We are a cohesive and responsive chapter focused on enhancing the interpersonal communication and professional development of our members. We believe in "The Single Battle" principle that each of the Sea Service members, active, reserve and retired, in the chapter has the same end goal, i.e., the recruitment of future officers and the retention and progression of those that currently serve. We are a resource to area Military Commanders, Universities and Local Schools to discuss issues impacting the minority officer community and to participate in events aimed at recruitment into the Sea Services. We mentor and raise funds through various activities to provide student scholarships and personal merit from community involvement. We are role models in the military and civilian communities, showing by example that the military way of life is a positive opportunity for personal and professional growth.
